So today I went to the Central Library and got about 5 books(massive books i might add and I was so lazy that i took the bus instead of my bike) about sewing and fitting and everything in between along with some books about 18th century clothing, and I also purchased my patterns online today, so let the sewing begin!

The beginning of a new journey...
Many people have certain hobbies outside of their profession that they are solemnly devoted. Sure, I have some like knitting and reading but nothing I am truly passionate and devoted to. Mine used to be photography, but since I began studying the art form, I feel it is more of a chore then a love. With Halloween around the corner and myself always stressing about what costume to wear, I felt I really wanted to achieve something this year, but with this sort of a project I have no problem delaying the revealing one year for the best result possible. I have always been in love with Rococo and Elizabethan period, I love the clothes, the books(Jane Austen and Charlotte Bronte are my favorite authors) and I absolutely love Sophia Copolla's Marie Antoinette with Kirsten Dunst. The movie was slow but the fashion made up for it. The different stages in her life reflected the types of clothing she wore. I will be attempting to recreate her masquerade outfit for Halloween, and heres the twist......I HAVE NEVER SEWN IN MY LIFE! I have been doing an immense amount of research and will be taking my time to finish my project. I have never done a project like this, so I am hoping for all the support and help as possible. I believe I can do it, with patience and motivation to do something different.
